Wisdom deities who accomplish the activities of all Buddhas, Arising excellently from the state of dharmadhatu free from elaboration. Lord of activities, Mahākāla (Tibetan: ལས་ཀྱི་མགོན་པོ་མ་ཧཱ་ཀཱ་ལ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: कर्म怙主瑪哈嘎拉, Sanskrit Romanization: karma mahākāla, Literal meaning: Lord of Activities, Great Black One), Great powerful master who protects the teachings of a thousand Buddhas. Great deity, Dharma Protector King with wisdom eyes, Treasure of the blessings and compassion of the three lineages. Acting with compassion, watching over beings like children, I enthrone you as the essence of the root and lineage lamas. Source of all desired attainments of the two siddhis, Kālacakra, Hevajra, Vajrabhairava, and so forth. Heroes and heroines, deities of the vast tantric classes, I enthrone you as the essence of the yidam deity assembly. Assembly of all Buddhas of the three times, complete in abandonment and realization, The holy Dharma, the essence of scripture and realization. The irreversible noble sangha of the three vehicles, I enthrone you as the essence of the three refuges. Born excellently from the lineage of pure lands and mantras, The hundreds of thousands of ḍākinīs of the three places of great bliss and wisdom, Assembly of sky-goers, the race of mothers and sisters, I enthrone you as the essence of... Great wisdom, powerful, proud form, Wrathful, terrifying, fierce, blazing form. Lord, the powerful one who protects the Buddha's teachings, I enthrone you as the essence of protecting according to the Dharma. The single door through which all benefit and happiness arise, The basis for the sustenance of limitless beings. The teachings of the unequaled Thubwangchok, I enthrone you to protect all who uphold them. Especially the final turning of the wheel of definitive meaning, The tradition of sutra and tantra paths, just as intended. The omniscient Jonangpas who uphold their own system, I enthrone you to protect the teachings and those who uphold them. Especially the sangha who uphold the great secret accomplishment lineage, Including all the Dharma grounds, monasteries, and communities. Never wavering, watching with love like a child, I enthrone you as the protector who always protects. Supreme essence of all refuges gathered together, Copper Knife Protector with wisdom eyes. Power blazing with the might and ability of all Dharma-protecting proud ones, Today, here, as the supreme protector. Possessing the oath to protect practitioners like children, Brave enough to employ existence and greatness as servants. The speed of activity and strength is faster than lightning, I praise the great authority of the activity protector, Dharma protector. From the characteristics of the unbearable degenerate age, The teachings are very weak and the happiness of beings diminishes. At the end of the time when evil circumstances compete and show off, I pray for fierce and powerful activity.
