【English Translation】 The Prayer to the Dharma Wheel I prostrate and take refuge in the feet of the Dharma Lord Lamas, Please hold me with great love at all times. You possess the treasure and storehouse of the precious Dharma, Having the glory and fame of the Dharma's splendor, You wield power over the great kingdom of the Dharma, I bow to the feet of the Dharma King Lama. You are well-born in the great ocean of Dharma, Having steps that are appropriate to the Dharma's order, High and bright with the glory of the Dharma, I bow to the feet of the Dharma's Mount Meru Lama. From the vast sky of Dharma, You pour down a stream of Dharma nectar rain, Making the crops of Dharma grow abundantly, I bow to the feet of the Dharma's great cloud Lama. The wisdom of your Dharma rises from the peak of the eastern mountain, Casting forth a thousand rays of Dharma's heat, Making the lotus garden of Dharma flourish, I bow to the feet of the Dharma's sun lord Lama. You have completely perfected all parts of the Dharma, With a net of cool rays of Dharma's light, Making the water lily garden of Dharma flourish, I bow to the feet of the Dharma's full moon Lama. You are a treasure of many gathered Dharma rivers, The scope of the Dharma is vast and boundless, Having the essence of many Dharma jewels, I bow to the feet of the Dharma's ocean Lama. For sentient beings impoverished in the glory of Dharma, You ferry them across the ocean of existence with the boat of Dharma, And transport them to the island of Dharma jewels, I bow to the feet of the Dharma's captain Lama. You are surrounded by many Dharma fences, Having delightful Dharma ponds and gardens, Possessing the wealth of Dharma's joy and virtue, I bow to the feet of the Dharma's city Lama. Your Dharma walls have ornaments of knowledge and love, Your Dharma treasury is filled with the wealth of the three trainings, Your Dharma gate has steps to liberation, I bow to the feet of the Dharma's mansion Lama. Your Dharma mansion is adorned with a precious crest, Having a fluttering flag of compassion, Playing on top of the Dharma mansion, I bow to the feet of the Dharma's victory banner Lama. I prostrate to the feet of the Guru, who is the lamp of the Dharma. Spontaneously accomplished from the sky of Dharma. With the sound of Dharma, awaken from the state of heedlessness. With the sound of Dharma, eliminate all harm. I prostrate to the feet of the Guru, who is the great drum of the Dharma. The supreme conch of Dharma possesses the great sound of profundity. The bell of Dharma has the great sound of emptiness. The cymbals of Dharma have the melody of benefit and happiness. I prostrate to the feet of the Guru, who proclaims the sound of Dharma. The root of Dharma is exceedingly firm. The tree of Dharma is tall and wide. The branches of Dharma are full of flowers and fruits. I prostrate to the feet of the Guru, who is the tree of Dharma. 【English Translation】 Regarding the principles of Dharma, there is no dimness in observation. Regarding the suchness of Dharma, observe as it is, as much as it is. Regarding the target of Dharma, make it a target for the impoverished. With eyes of Dharma, I bow to the feet of the Lama. With the weapon of Dharma, destroy the enemy of Samsara (輪迴). With the armor of Dharma, protect the body of liberation. With the ornaments of Dharma, always be beautifully adorned. The person of Dharma, I bow to the feet of the Lama. The environment of Dharma, possesses the excellent light of Vajra (金剛). The doors and platforms of Dharma, necklaces, etc. The ornaments and characteristics of Dharma, all complete. The Mandala (壇城) of Dharma, I bow to the feet of the Lama. The King of Dharma is the Buddha, the Bhagavan (世尊). The nectar of Dharma is the path of Nirvana (涅槃). The field of Dharma is the supreme Sangha (僧伽) of noble ones. To all who possess the glory of Dharma, I prostrate. I make offerings with offerings that accord with the principles of Dharma. I confess sins that contradict the principles of Dharma. With the principles of Dharma, I rejoice in virtue. I urge the turning of the supreme Wheel of Dharma. I pray that you remain long for the sake of Dharma. I offer my body to the masters of Dharma. I generate the chief of Dharma, Bodhicitta (菩提心). In the supreme protectors of Dharma, I seek refuge. With your vast and excellent eyes of Dharma, look upon us. With the skillful hands of Dharma, hold us well. With the power and strength of Dharma, lead us well. With the great wealth of Dharma, satisfy us. This 'Prayer of the Wheel of Dharma' was composed by Shes Rab Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo, a servant of the noble Lamas. Through this Dharma, may I and all sentient beings, In the nature of Dharma, be primordially clear light. May we enter well into the ocean of Dharmadhatu (法界) of Dharma, And may we satisfy all beings with the jewel of Dharma.
