【English Translation】 《A Prayer to the Root Guru – The Source of Accomplishments》 Nama Shri Guruve (藏文：ན་མཿཤྲཱི་གུ་རུ་ཝེ།，梵文天城體：नमः श्री गुरुवे，梵文羅馬擬音：namaḥ śrī guruve，English literal meaning: Homage to the glorious Guru) Source of accomplishments, precious Guru! Abiding on the lotus seat at the crown of all beings, With your kindness of uninterrupted compassion, I pray, grant supreme and common accomplishments! Essence of the Three Refuges, precious Guru! The qualities of your body, speech, and mind are inconceivable. The qualities of your wisdom, love, and power are beyond number. Please bless me to be like you, Guru! You are the lord of all Buddhas, possessing the Three Refuges, You are the treasure of all Dharma, possessing the Three Vehicles, You are the master of all Sangha, possessing the Three Trainings. I prostrate with reverence through the three doors, I take refuge in you! You are the emanation of the Buddhas of the three times, Your speech is the nectar of the sacred Dharma, curing the disease of the three poisons, Your mind is the Sangha of noble ones, always in harmony. I pay homage to the body, speech, and mind of the glorious Guru! The mass of your wisdom is greatly expanded, Like the orb of the sun in the pure sky. It spreads a web of light, dispelling the darkness of ignorance, Please bless me to clear away the darkness in my heart! The mass of your compassion is equal to all, Unchanging to all that is stable and moving, like the sky. The Sugata-garbha resides in all embodied beings, Please bless me to realize self-arisen primordial wisdom! Your power and activity are inconceivable, Like the king of power at the summit of the victory banner. Without doubt, you fulfill the hopes of beings, Please bless me to spontaneously accomplish the two benefits! You are the immeasurable treasure of the qualities of separation and maturation, Like the ocean of water, jewels, and water-born flowers. Your mind is filled with unchanging bliss, Please bless me to attain unmoving great bliss! The Three Jewels and the Guru are not two, The Guru and the qualities, the two accumulations, are inseparable. Therefore, the Guru is the root of accomplishment. May I always drink the nectar of your face! Through your kindness, in all lifetimes, May I not be overcome by demons and the hosts of afflictions, Through single-pointed meditation on the profound and precious path, May I quickly attain the state of Vajradhara!
