In the profound suffering of the terrifying cycle of existence, helpless beings bound without release at all times, having no other refuge than you, the sole hope is the Three Jewels. Driven by the force of afflictions and karma, with no autonomy over oneself due to bad deeds, not even knowing when it will end, Three Jewels, please know! Having little familiarity with virtuous Dharma, indulging in sin since beginningless time, deprived of the opportunity for true liberation, today I remember the Three Jewels! Not following after beings of high or low status, possessing impartial compassion for all, especially loving suffering beings, the ultimate refuge that benefits all. With unwavering faith, respect, and longing, the sole refuge and object of hope, I seek no other refuge than you, may you never abandon me and others with your compassion. When this life fades away, and I journey alone to the next, the escort leading the vulnerable, there is none other than the Three Jewels. Therefore, from this day until enlightenment, I honor the Three Jewels with the crown of my head, whatever good or bad befalls me, you know! May your activity never cease. 【English Translation】 Obtaining this state of mindful vigilance, Is due to the kindness of the incomparable and supreme Lama. Therefore, I constantly remember your kindness. Although parents can grant the opportunity for happiness in this life, They cannot accomplish benefit in the next life. From the kindness of the Lama, the source of compassion, You bestow the ocean of happiness and joy in this and future lives. By bestowing the nectar of your excellent teachings, You have made us fortunate ones, A guide who will lead us to eternal bliss. Therefore, your kindness is immeasurable. You are the great sovereign of wisdom, love, and power, I have no other protector than you. May you always watch over us with compassion! This was spoken extemporaneously by Matikirti to encourage the minds of faithful Dharma friends towards the Dharma, and was written down by the Dharma friend himself.
