You are the all-pervading Lord of all lineages and mandalas, The great treasury of the Secret Mantra path. The Lama who bestows the oral instructions of the two stages, I call to you from my heart, O treasure of compassion. You are the emanation-dance of Vajrasattva (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་སེམས་དཔའ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्रसत्त्व, Sanskrit Romanization: Vajrasattva, Literal meaning: Diamond Heroic Mind), The boundless array of wondrous appearances. You demonstrate following the minds of those to be tamed, All-pervading Lama, I remember you again and again. A feast of auspicious and marvelous new goodness, Bearing the great burden of upholding the definitive meaning teachings, The root of the teachings, possessing both scholarship and accomplishment, Jetsun Kunga Sonam Gyatso (Tibetan: ཀུན་དགའ་བསོ༵ད་ནམ༵ས་རྒྱ་མཚོ།). When I call to you, protector, not just in words but from the depths of my heart, From the pure expanse of the stainless Dharmadhatu, With great love and profound wisdom's compassion, Always watch over us, never wavering. We, the wretched, separated from our protector, By the powerful wind of overwhelming karma, Powerlessly driven in the ocean of existence, Does the Protector consider this with your wisdom? The sacred form body of the supreme guide, Is the supreme field of merit for us disciples. When your form becomes nectar for our eyes in this land, The oral instructions of the great secret teachings become very clear. Alas! We do not have the merit to bear it, The sun of Dharma has suddenly set, We disciples are left behind, Please consider this and do not abandon us with your compassion. The root Lama, whose kindness is inexhaustible, Jetsun Kunga Sonam Gyatso. You know, when I call with words of longing, May your smiling face quickly appear! We, who are separated from the path of bad karma, In the deep, long pit of unbearable samsara, Have long been burdened by the weight of suffering, Why do you still not protect us with your compassion? We are the subjects of the protector, We have no other hope than you, Jetsun. Therefore, with the hook of your compassion, Never loosen your hold on us. Like a helpless, orphaned child, Calling to its parents with words of longing, When we disciples call to you with words of faith, That one who is the unequaled treasure of compassion, Wherever you may reside in a pure realm, Stir your heart with great love, And shower down the light of blessings like rain.

Displaying great miracles of various wonders, Show the spectacle of subduing this life. Glorious Lama Sonam Gyatso (Ocean of Merit), You are the sole refuge for us disciples. From the heart, we call out with words of longing, Please proclaim the supreme, indestructible speech from the sphere. A collection of immaculate bliss and emptiness wisdom, Completely perfect with the elements of compassion. Incomparable in wisdom and love, the one father, Lama, Please grant the experience of the four joys. The wondrous, beautiful form of emptiness, the sacred, A magical illusion that produces amazing beauty. Whoever holds the supreme, uncontaminated body, May the appearances of the myriad empty forms increase. May I and others, in this and all lifetimes, Attain the supreme state of the four Kayas. May the glorious Lama's compassion not abandon us, Constantly, without negligence, be our protector and refuge. Inseparable from the main deity of the Mandala, The powerful blessings of the lineage master, the Lama. The power and might, the incomparable actor, May it enter the indestructible heart.
