【English Translation】 Collection of Teachings by Ngawang Lodro Drakpa JNLD263: 'A Concise Guru Yoga of Lama Ngakpal'. A Concise Guru Yoga of Lama Ngakpal. A Concise Guru Yoga of Lama Ngakpal. Here, the method for practicing the concise Guru Yoga of Lama Ngakpal is as follows: Namo! Guru, the embodiment of all Buddhas! I take refuge with reverence through the three doors (body, speech, and mind)! In order to dispel the suffering of all beings, I will practice the Guru Yoga. (Recite) three times. In the space before me, within a sphere of rainbow light, On a lotus and moon cushion, the supreme Guru resides. The embodiment of all Buddhas, the kind and gracious one, The root Guru, Lord of Dharma. Ngakpal Zangpo, you are a treasure of compassion. Your complexion is white with a reddish hue, Your legs are in the vajra posture. Your two hands are in the teaching mudra. You are wearing the three Dharma robes, Appearing as a bhikshu (monk) and vajra-holder. You reside in the midst of a mass of light. The four places (forehead, throat, heart, and navel) are marked with four syllables (seed syllables). I respectfully prostrate to the supreme Guru. I offer all offerings, and confess all misdeeds and downfalls. I rejoice in all virtues, and request you to turn the wheel of Dharma. I beseech you not to pass into nirvana, but to remain for a long time. May I and others quickly attain the state of enlightenment! You are the embodiment of all objects of refuge, I pray to the root Guru. Please, with your body, speech, and mind, Make me inseparable from you, into the great equanimity. After reciting these four lines of prayer as much as possible, from the syllables (seed syllables) at the four places of the Guru, Rays of white, red, blue, and yellow light radiate, Absorbing completely into my own four places, Thus purifying obscurations and completely receiving the four empowerments. May the Guru and my own mind be inseparable, And may all merit be dedicated to great enlightenment. May this (virtue) soon enable myself and other beings, To practice the vast intentions of the Guru.
