On a lion throne, the incomparable Shakyamuni, Victor Shakyamuni, the color of a golden mountain. Complete with wondrous marks and beauties, Golden light pervading the three realms. Wearing the three Dharma robes, Right hand touching the earth, left hand in meditation. With a loving smile, seated in full lotus posture. Surrounded by a treasure of qualities like an ocean, The most supreme of the Buddha's sons, Manjushri, Maitreya, and others. The gathering of noble beings and the assembly of gods, nagas, and yakshas. An endless host of pure retinues. In the manner of a retinue listening to the Teacher's teachings. With questions and answers, from the mouth of the Shakyamuni, The sixty branches of Brahma's voice. A clear sound pervading the sky. The names of the Three Jewels and the profound and vast nature of the Two Truths. By clearly distinguishing the general and the specific, and the essence of the definitive meaning, Each disciple of the retinue understands according to their own capacity. The miraculous dance performed by the Teacher and the retinue, Completely pervades the earth and space. The sound of the profound sutras is clearly proclaimed, May all obscurations of oneself and others be purified. Then, read the entire sutra from the beginning. Afterwards: Amazing! The final meaning of the definitive wheel of Dharma, Begins with the establishment of the basis, the Tathagatagarbha. Well explained profound meaning, with the Three Jewels names, etc., In many ways, purify the obscurations of samsara. It is the Victor's scripture, the Teacher's teaching, The Noble Great Liberation Sutra, With pure higher intention, well recited. By the power of this pure virtue, May all sentient beings, including myself, The negative karma accumulated from beginningless time, And the causes of ripening dark karma, Be purified in sequence. That is, the three non-virtuous actions of the body, such as killing, and the evil deeds of speech, such as lying.

【English Translation】 May the three non-virtuous deeds arising from greed and other thoughts be completely purified, and may we engage in the ten virtues. May the extremely difficult to purify and powerful deeds, such as the five inexpiable sins of killing one's father, mother, Arhat, causing disunity in the Sangha, and drawing blood from a Buddha, as well as the five sins similar to them, may all these heavy sins be purified. Especially, may the evil minds that destroy all roots of virtue, such as having wrong views about the principles of karma and the ways of taking refuge in the Three Jewels, and all the faults tainted by the defilements of wrong views, be purified. May all the precepts of individual liberation, such as the root downfalls, the Sangha-disrupting offenses, the expiatory offenses, and all the faults arising from negligence, be adorned with pure discipline. May all the downfalls that contradict the Bodhisattva's altruistic mind, such as the four black dharmas, as well as the actions that belong to the category of misdeeds and harm others, be purified by this. May all the vows, both common and uncommon, that contradict the Great Secret Path of the Result Vehicle, such as the fourteen root downfalls and the eight gross transgressions, and all the transgressions and obscurations of vows, be completely purified. May all these sources of obscurations for oneself and others, the causes of samsara, especially the causes of falling into the lower realms, and the obstacles to attaining liberation and unsurpassed enlightenment, be purified by reciting this supreme Sutra. May all the pure accumulations of virtue from proclaiming the profound Tripitaka scriptures be dedicated to all sentient beings, and may it be the cause of temporary and ultimate benefit and happiness. May all beings achieve this as it is, perfect the qualities of abandonment and realization of the ten bhumis and five paths, gain mastery over the supreme state of the four bodies, and enjoy the vast ocean of perfect bliss and joy. May the protector of the teachings, the incomparable Shakyamuni, the master of teachings and realizations, the treasure of the peaceful and cool Dharma, and the power of the Sangha of the three vehicles of noble beings, fulfill all wishes without obstacles.
