Auspicious Vase Bestowing the Excellent Path to Enlightenment: A Prayer to Lama Rinchen Zangpo Auspicious Vase Bestowing the Excellent Path to Enlightenment: A Prayer to Lama Rinchen Zangpo I prostrate to the Protector Amitabha (無量光), inseparable from the Lama. From your beautiful form, which ripens the excellent fruit of the two accumulations, Rays of auspicious and wondrous red light shine forth, Supreme one who liberates limitless beings from the ocean of existence, May the Lama of gods and humans consider me. Great master of eloquent speech, Perfecting the two accumulations through the conduct of a Bodhisattva, Always delighting in the glory of the ocean of compassion, Incomparable Lama, reside within the lotus of my heart. In the ocean of existence, where unbearable suffering's waves surge greatly, I and other helpless beings dwell, When the sun of refuge suddenly sets, I pray that you protect us with the light of your compassion. I, who lack the fortune of true Dharma, Whose mindstream is disturbed by numerous afflictions and demons, Lama, you are inseparable from those with great power, I pray to you to liberate me from the root of samsara. You are the sole cause of the supreme, unsurpassed state, Yet I am in conflict with the precious Bodhicitta (菩提心，mind of enlightenment), Lama, you are inseparable from Avalokiteśvara (觀世音), I pray to you to bestow the excellent path of the Bodhisattvas. Even for unfortunate and helpless beings like us, If we pray sincerely, you are a protector who never deceives. Lord of the ocean of Bodhisattvas, Sugata (善逝), The feet of the glorious Lama, inseparable from you, I pray from the depths of my heart and bones, May you swiftly lead me and all mother beings wandering in this ocean of existence, To that pure land through your compassion, And grant us the state of omniscience without delay. Inseparable from Amitabha (無量光), The incomparable and venerable Lama, May the light of your blooming face, Cause the lotus of joy and happiness in my mind to blossom. In this life and in all future lives, May I never be separated from you, the venerable Manjushri (文殊) Lama, Even for a moment, And may your nectar-like speech nourish me and others.
