【English Translation】 Collected Teachings of Ngawang Lodro Drakpa, JNLD222: Concise Root Guru Yoga. Concise Root Guru Yoga Concise Root Guru Yoga In the sky before me, amidst rainbows and light, upon a lotus, moon, sun, and Rahu, is the Lama, essence of profound Dharma instructions. His essence transforms into the form of Kalachakra, with a deep blue, indigo-like radiance, red on the right, white on the left, standing with both feet. In the posture of subduing the desire deity Ishvara, his hands crossed, holding vajra and bell, embracing the golden goddess. The Father's face has three eyes, both peaceful and wrathful, adorned with a tiger skin and vajra ornaments, the Mother's face has three eyes and is beautifully adorned with five seals. Her hands hold a curved knife and skull cup, right leg bent, left leg extended, delighting in bliss, from the union of bliss and emptiness, the Father and Mother. Rays of various colors radiate in all ten directions, the Lord of the mandala of the three secrets, Kalachakra, the glory of permanence and impermanence. I prostrate to you, offer assemblies of offerings, confess misdeeds, rejoice in virtue, request the turning of the Dharma wheel, and implore you not to pass into sorrow. I beseech you not to show the manner of passing away, but to remain forever. By this virtue, may the Lama Kalachakra meet, and may it manifest as the nature of my own mind. Liberated from the obscurations of conceptual thought, in the realm of the great clear light of inner awareness, may I have a close encounter, may great bliss increase, and may I quickly become the primordial protector.
