【English Translation】 Collected Teachings of Ngawang Lodro Drakpa JNLD114: 'A Prayer to Marici' 7-223 ༄༅། །A Prayer to Marici. ༄༅། །A Prayer to Marici. ༄༅། །oṃ mārīcye namo! (Tibetan: ༀ་མ་རཱི་ཙྱཻ་ན་མོ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओ मारिच्ये नमो, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ mārīcye namo, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Marici, Homage!). Glorious Dakini of the Wisdom Realm! Possessing wondrous and beautiful golden color, endowed with a million exquisite forms. Riding upon a pig, traversing the rays of the sun. Holding needle and thread in your hands, protecting oneself and vanquishing enemies. Manifesting immeasurable forms, other virtues are also beyond comprehension. Skillful in benefiting beings, possessing the power to destroy harm. You are the great heroine, the protector from all fears. From the depths of my heart, I pray to you, the refuge of all hopes. māṃ! You are the great wrathful one, burning in the midst of the fire of the eon, Possessing a terrifying form, a wrathful and heroic deity. With fierce power and skillful activities, May all those who harbor malice and cause harm to us, Including enemies, thieves, robbers, and other tangible beings, As well as demons, ghosts, oath-breakers, and witches, And all the intangible hosts of spirits, Be reduced to dust in an instant. With your power and army, subdue all obstacles. Protect us from all sides with endless wealth. With an indestructible shield of compassion, Always protect and guard us practitioners. Through the power of my respectful prayers to you, When my present life comes to an end, May I be reborn in the pure land of Marici, 7-224 And directly behold the joyful face of the glorious goddess.
