【English Translation】 《Identifying the Four Seasonal Offerings》 Om, may it be auspicious! All offerings on auspicious occasions have great merit. Especially on the eighth day, it is the day when the Buddha Shakyamuni was born. Remembering this, one should think and recite: 'I will offer to the time of the Buddha's birth.' Doing so will bring even greater merit. On the fifteenth day, it is the time when the Buddha attained perfect enlightenment (Buddhahood), subdued the Maras, turned the Wheel of Dharma, displayed great miracles, descended from the heavens, entered Nirvana, and for the sake of teaching the first Kalachakra, bestowed empowerment and taught the tantras in the Dharmadhatu of Shri Dhanyakataka, and many other profound and extraordinary times. Furthermore, it is said that all Siddhas attain accomplishment on the fifteenth day. Therefore, one should think and recite: 'I will offer to all these times.' By acting in this way, it is said that immeasurable, limitless, and boundless merit will be obtained. One should practice in this way and explain it in detail to others. The daily seasonal offering, the monthly seasonal offering, the yearly seasonal offering, and the sixty-year seasonal offering. These four seasonal offerings, when combined with any auspicious occasion, have great merit. Even without the offerings on the first day of the month, it is generally an auspicious occasion, because the moon on the fifteenth day of the month is completely full. Therefore, on that day, whatever virtuous deeds are done, such as prostrations, offerings, circumambulations, etc., will bring great results.
