【English Translation】 Collected Teachings of Ngawang Lodro Drakpa JNLD107: A Prayer for Swift Fulfillment of Aspirations in Accordance with the Times A Prayer for Swift Fulfillment of Aspirations in Accordance with the Times To the Supreme Master: I beseech you with great compassion to look upon all sentient beings, you are the guide of gods and humans, the incomparable and immensely virtuous protector, the infallible refuge—the Three Jewels! I beseech you to look upon us with great compassion, you are the embodiment of the activities of all Buddhas, the treasure of blessings, the unsurpassed guide of beings in this degenerate age, you protect all disciples with motherly love! I beseech you to have compassion, may all virtuous deeds we perform and all virtuous aspirations we hold be accomplished without hindrance! I beseech you to have compassion, we are weak beings driven by karma, if the force of our past evil deeds is strong and about to ripen in this life, may you, with your compassionate power, lessen the harm! May all that we do with our body, speech, and mind not be mixed with sinful deeds, but be connected with virtuous deeds and merit, may all that we do in this life be endowed with supreme meaning! May we transform our minds with pure intention and joy, may we not be defiled by the poison of anger, may we spend this life listening to, contemplating, and teaching the Dharma, free from all obstacles! May we harmonize what we have heard with our own minds, skillfully apply the methods to tame our minds, not just paying lip service, but diligently striving to put it into practice! May we single-mindedly rely on the Three Jewels and the single venerable Tara, entrusting ourselves to you as the protectors who save us from the fears of this life and the next, may we have unwavering faith in the supreme refuge! Good and non-good are distinct, the results of happiness and suffering arise differently, the details of this are very difficult to understand, may we not have wrong views about it! May we purify the accumulation of misdeeds from beginningless time by engaging in virtuous deeds with our body, speech, and mind, may we practice diligently and penetrate the essence of the Dharma in this life, may we not experience unbearable consequences in future lives! May we purify the great sins that destroy all virtuous deeds—wrong views and abandoning the Dharma, may the sins committed in the past be purified, may our minds never be stained by defilements in the future, may we never encounter such evil deeds! May we eliminate the unbearable and extremely powerful ripening of negative karma with the power of virtue.

【English Translation】 May I and others never be associated with sinful actions, including the five proximity sins, caused by stinginess and obstruction of merit. May the fire of anger that burns one's own mind, destroy the power that destroys the roots of virtue of the kalpas. May these involuntary moments be destroyed, and may one's own mind enjoy the bliss of loving-kindness. May the actions of body, speech, and mind in this life so far, whether intentional or unintentional, not be mixed with any sinful actions, and may the incidental virtuous actions be naturally accomplished. May I, at the end of my life, no matter what I encounter, focus my mind solely on the pure Dharma, turn my back on sinful actions, and not be confused in what to adopt and what to abandon. In short, may I not encounter any evil deeds from this life until the end of my life, and may I have the good fortune to naturally accomplish virtuous deeds. Compassionate one, I pray thus. When death comes, may I not have illusions due to bad karma, but rely on the right connection and experience only pure appearances. May I, immediately after this life, be reborn in the northern Kalapa, become a member of the unobstructed king, and enjoy the nectar of his teachings. From the boundless wisdom space of the Protector (Kyabchok), from the clouds of compassion and good deeds, may the rain of auspicious blessings fall and fulfill all wishes like a wish-fulfilling tree. May the good stream of virtuous deeds merge with the ocean of aspirations of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and finally flow into the great ocean of the four bodies (Kāya), becoming one taste.
