【現代漢語翻譯】 《策勵勝心經》引文集 頂禮佛！《策勵勝心經》中，爾時，慈氏菩薩摩訶薩（Maitreya Bodhisattva-mahāsattva，未來佛）向薄伽梵（Bhagavan，世尊）請示道：『世尊，如來（Tathagata，佛的稱號）所說的無量壽如來（Amitayus，阿彌陀佛）的功德，若有人憶念這些功德中的任何一種，憶念無量壽如來，就能往生到那個佛土（Buddha-kshetra，佛的國土），那麼，世尊，這些發心（citta-utpāda，菩提心）是什麼呢？』 如是請示后，薄伽梵告慈氏菩薩摩訶薩曰：『慈氏，能使眾生往生無量壽如來的佛土，安樂世界（Sukhavati，極樂世界）的發心，不是凡夫的發心，不是大丈夫的發心，不是煩惱的發心。慈氏，發心有如下十種。何為十種？慈氏，譬如，對一切眾生的行為心懷嫉妒，就不能往生無量壽如來的佛土，要發起對一切眾生的慈愛之心；要完全捨棄傷害，發起對一切眾生的悲憫之心；不顧惜身體和性命，發起守護正法之心；從甚深忍辱中獲得堅定，發起對正法的強烈追求之心；不被名利所染污，發起心念完全清凈之心；不言不語，發起視一切智（sarvajñāna，佛的智慧）為珍寶之心；不灰心喪氣，發起像對待上師（guru，老師）一樣恭敬一切眾生之心；因為確定了菩提（bodhi，覺悟）的支分，發起不貪圖近寂之禪定滋味之心；不混雜，發起各種善根之心；完全捨棄相，發起憶念佛陀的禪修之心。慈氏，這十種發心就是這些，這十種發心中，任何一種發心，都是發心。』
【English Translation】 Collected Excerpts from the Sutra Encouraging Supreme Aspiration Homage to the Buddha! From the Sutra Encouraging Supreme Aspiration: Then, Maitreya Bodhisattva-mahāsattva asked the Bhagavan: 'Bhagavan, among the qualities of the Tathagata Amitayus spoken by the Tathagata, if someone keeps in mind any one of these qualities, and keeps in mind the Tathagata Amitayus, they will be born in that Buddha-kshetra. Bhagavan, what are these aspirations (citta-utpāda)?' After this request, the Bhagavan said to Maitreya Bodhisattva-mahāsattva: 'Maitreya, the aspirations that cause beings to be born in the Buddha-field of the Tathagata Amitayus, the world of Sukhavati, are not the aspirations of ordinary people, not the aspirations of great individuals, not the aspirations of defilements. Maitreya, there are ten types of aspirations. What are the ten? Maitreya, for example, being jealous of the actions of all sentient beings, one cannot be born in the Buddha-field of the Tathagata Amitayus; one must generate the mind of loving-kindness towards all sentient beings; one must completely abandon harm and generate the mind of compassion towards all sentient beings; disregarding body and life, one must generate the mind of protecting the sacred Dharma; having become certain through profound patience, one must generate the mind of strongly aspiring to the sacred Dharma; being unsoiled by gain and honor, one must generate the mind of completely pure intention; being without speech, one must generate the mind of cherishing omniscience (sarvajñāna) as a precious jewel; being without discouragement, one must generate the mind of respecting all sentient beings as one's guru; because the limbs of enlightenment (bodhi) are certain, one must generate the mind of not savoring the taste of meditative absorption in near-tranquility; being unmixed, one must generate the mind of various roots of virtue; having completely abandoned signs, one must generate the mind of meditating on the recollection of the Buddha. Maitreya, these ten aspirations are those; among these ten aspirations, any aspiration is an aspiration.'
