I prostrate to the holy gurus! The stainless essence of the Sugata (Tathāgata-garbha), With the wisdom that realizes selflessness, Having been well-trained by the supreme empowerment, With various skillful methods, From the causes and conditions of emptiness and compassion, Perfectly accomplished and able to cut, All nets of doubt, I bow to that precious sword. I request Dharma speaker Donyo Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo, You who hold the treasury of all scriptures, The yogi who possesses the supreme essence of the teachings—emptiness and compassion, I offer these words to your ears: I am constantly occupied by distraction, busyness, and enjoyment, Surrounded by demons in human form, As if they are stealing the opportunity to do good. May your precious body, like the moon, be free from the obscuration of the clouds of illness, May you illuminate the pistil of the teachings' lotus with the cool rays of well-spoken words, Eliminating all the suffering of disciples and increasing the ocean of auspicious merit. To me as well, please grant, Elegant words praised by the wise, and letters adorned with poetry. Here, what the eyes of the world can reach, causing joy, Is like the wealth of the city of Indra, obtained by those with desire, Or like walking in a garden of joy. In the present context, as always, For the sake of saving all sentient beings who were once my mothers, Not hesitating to enter the blazing hellfire, To eliminate the suffering of endless samsara, Please practice the essence of all teachings. Although I urge you in this way, what more can I say? Because we have no certainty of not dying even tonight, The minds of sentient beings are as fickle as smoke, So please eliminate their suffering now. I have spoken these words like those of a Bodhisattva on the tenth ground, Please forgive my faults, May you become the sun of the Sugata's teachings in the future, Freed from the bondage of the inauspicious Rahu, Scattering billions of rays of benefit and happiness, So that the seeds of goodness in the minds of beings, May ripen, and may the darkness of wrong views, Disappear completely! 【English Translation】 May the life of the virtuous friend who holds the victory banner (རྒྱལ་མཚན་འཛིན་པའི་བཤེས་གཉེན་) be as stable as the sky. May all beings always enjoy the feast of excellent teachings and the glory of happiness. As an offering for viewing, I present a Tangka cover and a silk scarf.
